DIVISION 5: DAVE KEATLEY
Let’s plan for a sustainable future.
Includes Corte Madera, portions of Larkspur south of Corte Madera Creek and east of Highway 101, San Quentin, Strawberry, Tiburon and surrounding unincorporated areas, and Belvedere.
Just over two years ago, Marin nearly ran out of water! Not that long ago, that would have been unthinkable. Access to a supply of clean water is basic human need and while we narrowly averted that disaster, we clearly need to be doing a better job of planning, preparing, and putting the right steps in place to protect our community.
Marin needs Water Board members who are willing to tackle these challenges with fresh eyes and contemporary understanding, and who recognize their significant role in building a durable, healthy, and sustainable future.
As the father of a young family, I’m aware that the legacy we leave our kids is an especially critical responsibility. As a business leader, I know the answers are available to us.
Climate change will make multi-year droughts more likely but we have the information that we need to adapt and face these challenges.
Now is the time to plan thoughtfully, think courageously, and act intentionally—so that Marin communities can trust that they will have a reliable source of safe, clean water both now and in the future.
